We need libraries and we don't need libraries. This is a two side argument. Libraries are a great place to get books but we also have the internet. Plus, when you sign out a book from the library, there is a date telling you that you must return your book by a certain amount of days. If you do not return your book, there is a fine due. On the internet or with a device, you have the book for as long as you want. There is not limit to the number of days and you can read more books at once. In a library, there are limits to the number of books you take out. The limit can be high but there still is a limit. Plus, if you pass the due date, there is a fine per book . On the internet or with a device, there is no fine. Also, the internet is more useful because not all libraries have every book you want. Some books are very popular which means you must put the book on hold and then you get a call to tell you that you can finally get the book. If you don't get the book in time there is another fine. If you have a device there is not fine, not wait and no restrictions.

Libraries may have a bad side but they also have a good side too. In a library, you have a book right in front of you. If you need a page you just pop open the book and you have the page. On the internet, you must press several buttons many times until you get to your page. Also, a library has more than just books. There are computers, audio books, movies and so many other things. At home you may not have a computer but at the library there are many computers that you can use. Also, you can sign out audio books which are very useful because many people like the book more when someone is reading it to them. At home, you will not always have someone to read you books whenever and wherever.
Therefore, libraries can be useful but there is another side to this argument.
